Chemicals for Coating Pastes

Prodisol SK 50 R

Prodisol SK 50 R Hydrophobizing Agent

Application: Used in various coating systems as a wet coating lubricant to reduce friction and adhesion.

Benefits:

  • Allows controlling surface adhesion upon contact with aqueous solutions and some alcohol solutions.
  • Prevents fine particle deposition, reduces dusting, and lowers the probability of coated paper crazing and cockling.
  • Helps eliminate problems with fine particle removal when working with coated paper on a supercalender stack.
  • Improves printability, smoothness, gloss, and coating uniformity.
Neoscale 4045R

Neoscale 4045R

Application: Used for dispersing pigment systems such as ground calcium carbonate (GCC), precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), kaolin, and other pigments, which are particularly suitable for use in paper coatings.

Benefits:

  • Dissolves easily and quickly in water.
  • Provides low viscosity and good stability after dispersion in the system at any temperature and pH.

AA 650 Rheology Modifier

Application: High-performance rheology modifier.

Benefits:

  • Significantly improves water retention capacity of coatings, as well as smoothness, ink absorption, and gloss of finished paper.
  • Replaces CMC, acrylic, and other water retention agents for coatings.
  • Used for increasing solids content in coatings without making them more viscous.

Kaolin

Application: Used in the pulp and paper industry for paper production.

Benefits:

  • Increases paper whiteness.
  • Enhances opacity and smoothness. The paper becomes softer and denser.
  • Improves printing properties.
