Biocides for the paint and varnish industry

Before use, it is recommended to assess the effectiveness of preservation and the compatibility of the biocide with the protectable product.

Neomid 10V

Purpose: Preservation of aqueous systems: water-based paints, adhesives, pasty thickeners, dispersions, binders and other water-based processing systems.

Active Ingredient: 1,2-benzisothiazoline-3-one.

Benefits:

  • Effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast and mycelial fungi.

Active Ingredient: 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one, 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one.

Purpose: Suppression of the growth of planktonic microorganisms, prevention of the formation of mucus and biodegradation in the circulating water supply systems.

Active Ingredient: 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide.

  • Has a high efficiency to suppress the number of microorganisms in a short period of time.
  • Suitable for preservation of starch.

Neomid 129

Purpose: Preservation of aqueous systems: water-based paints, adhesives, pasty thickeners, dispersions, binders and other water-based processing systems.

Active Ingredient: 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one, 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one.

Benefits:

  • Effective against micromycetes (yeast, mold) and a wide range of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
  • Effective in the pH range of 2–9. The biocide injection into systems should be carried out at a temperature of less than 40 °C.

Purpose: Preservation for perfume and cosmetics, household chemicals, water-dispersion paint and varnish materials.

Active Ingredient: 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one, 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol.

Benefits:

  • It is used for preservation of a wide range of products on a water basis.

Neomid 150BT

Purpose: Preservation of aqueous systems: water-based paints, adhesives, pasty thickeners, dispersions, binders and other water-based processing systems. Also can be used for suppression of the activity of microorganisms in processing environments, including washing, technological and circulating waters of enterprises of various industries.

Active Ingredient: 1,2-benzisothiazoline-3-one and a hexahydro-sim-triazine derivative.

Benefits:

  • Effective in the pH range from 5 to 13.
  • Compatible with water-based products, most low molecular weight alcohols and glycols.
  • Contains a combination of biologically active substances providing long-term preservation of the above products in a temperature range up to 60°C and pH values of the medium up to 12.

Neomid 180, Neomid 180 mark E, Neomid 180 mark R

Purpose: Fungicide for water-dispersion paints, impregnations, enamels, water-based varnishes and other paintwork materials, including those based on solvents, with high temperature conditions (up to 200 °C). Gives dry film resistance to microscopic fungi and mold formation.

Active Ingredient: 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one.

Benefits:

  • Effective in the pH range from 2 to 10.
  • Compatible with water-based products, most low molecular weight alcohols and glycols.
  • Prevents the growth of fungi and algae on the surface due to the controlled diffusion of the active substance from the coatings.

Purpose: Sanitation and protection against bacteria, yeast and filamentous fungi of masonry walls and facades, freshly cut wood and timber. Increases the adhesion of dispersion paints and plasters, prevents swelling and shedding of paint caused by microbiological activity.

Active Ingredient: 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one, quaternary ammonium compound.

Benefits:

  • It is a concentrated composition.
  • Has a prolonged «therapeutic effect».
  • Provides long-term protection, both for mineral and for wood surfaces.

Neomid 210

Purpose: Fungicide for water-dispersion paints, impregnations, enamels, water-based varnishes and other paintwork materials, including those based on solvents. Gives dry film resistance to microscopic fungi and mold formation.

Active Ingredient: 3-iodo-2-propynyl-butyl carbamate, 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one.

Purpose: Fungicide for water-dispersion paints, impregnations, enamels, water-based varnishes and other paintwork materials, including those based on solvents. Gives dry film resistance to microscopic fungi and mold formation.

Active Ingredient: 4,5-dichloro-octyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one

Benefits:
